Lifestyle House

The Lifestyle House is a large contemporary styled house located near Nairn in the Scottish Highlands. The house is designed to engender a lifestyle that encourages a more indoor/ outdoor approach, as the light airy interior flows seamlessly out to the exterior through a series of outdoor living spaces. This house is perfectly suited to the east coast climate with its warm sunny summers and cool dry winters. Its barrel roof form was inspired by agricultural buildings found in the local area. The material palette was carefully considered as through colour render is complemented by stained cedar wood cladding, which is all topped off by an elegant curved copper standing seam roof. The luxurious materials continue on the interior with the polished marble floors which reflect the sky. The whole house is designed to put you constantly in touch with nature, whilst living in a bright, airy well designed space.

This house was commended by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) local chapter and was published in the 'Sunday Times' and 'Homes and Interiors' Magazine.
