Porteous Architecture

This old school building in the Isle of Lewis had been latterly used by the local council as offices and was in a bad state of repair internally. The stone building is category B Listed, and so was sensitively repaired externally. The high windows had been designed for pupils not to see out, and so the living room area has been raised up to compensate. The internal layout was extensively remodelled to create a beautiful contemporary home with stunning views towards the Harris hills.
